Strategic Buyer
Who we are looking for:
- Optimize the supplier portfolio to ensure delivery reliability and cost efficiency
- Handle supplier setup, update master data, and manage ongoing supplier issues
- Request, review, and compare supplier offers; prepare sourcing tables and coordinate with departments to finalize awards.
- Monitor project progress and ensure up-to-date status reporting.
- Secure supply chain resilience and traceability.
- Prepare, support, and execute price and contract negotiations.
- Create and maintain project-related price overviews for budget planning.
- Identify and classify materials and define purchasing groups.
- Maintain info records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), including pricing, supplier data, and delivery terms.
- Perform BANF validation to verify purchase requisition data for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct initial invoice reviews and material setups in ERP systems.
- Collaborate closely with other departments and work in cross-functional project teams.
- Participate actively in project meetings and support program management in meeting project budgets and timelines.
Job requirements:
- Successfully completed technical or commercial education with a strong affinity for technology
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within an international company, ideally in the field of composite materials and automotive
- Excellent MS Office skills, SAP R/3 knowledge is an advantage
- Fluent in English, and preferably German written and spoken
- Strong negotiation skills, communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking with a structured and goal-oriented working style
- Team player with flexibility, high commitment, and willingness to travel (approximately 20%)
